Welcome to our website for Puddleduck cottage, Alnwick.

Our cottage was renovated in February 2012.

Puddleduck cottage is situated only a few minutes walk from Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland and famous for the Harry Potter films. The well known Alnwick gardens are just 2 -3 minutes walk away where you will find the famous Treehouse restaurant which serves lovely food. (booking is essential).

Nearby is the famous Barter books which is one of the biggest secondhand book shops in the UK, where you can while away the hours reading your favourite books whilst enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.

A short drive away are the beautiful beaches of Northumberland which are perfect for enjoying a stroll. Alnmouth beach is only a 10 minute drive away.

Alnwick has some of the friendliest people you could wish to meet and the town has lovely shops, tea/coffee shops and restaurants as well as a twice weekly bustling market which sells local produce. The Playhouse is a couple of minutes walk away which hosts plays, pantomimes and a cinema.

Alnwick is the gateway town to the whole of the beautiful Northumbrian coast. The cottage is an excellent base for those needing to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Northumberland countryside, spectacular coastline, castles, breathtaking scenery and yet only minutes away from the hustle and bustle of a lovely historic market town.
